Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Whoever makes a blessing easieris blessed to the same degree as he has preformed the original action.” TheAssociation performs activities to publicize the East Turkistan issue throughoutthe Islamic world and tries to solve the problem with an Islamic approach.East Turkistan Solidarity Association 16Stating that they are under pressure, subjected to violence, deprived ofhuman rights and justice, and that their national existence and cultures have beenendangered to the risk of extinction, the representatives of East Turkistan met inIstanbul from December 12 to 14, 1992 to establish the East Turkistan SolidarityAssociation. The purpose of establishing the association was:“To inform thewhole world and the conscience of humanity about the justified uprisingsof the people of East Turkistan, their desire to enjoy a free and independentlife, as well as to underline that implementations that are intended to destroythe physical and cultural existence, and the national identity of the people ofEast Turkistan are all threats against the humanity, world peace, internationalfraternity and principles of cooperation, and finally to gather together a noblepeople, enterprises and organizations that have devoted themselves to peace,justice, freedom, international tolerance, affinity and cooperation in the justifiedcase of the people of East Turkistan.” The East Turkistan Solidarity Associationdoes not actively operate.534East Turkistan Foundation 17This foundation was established by Isa Yusuf Alptekin.
