They do not have qualified people who are well enough internationallyrecognizedto attract the international community. The East Turkistanissue is now an international issue and affects the relations of manycountries with China. The East Turkistan issue needs to be evaluated froman international perspective.4. Organizations in East Turkistan do not have an ideal or practicableprogram for the independence movement. It is impossible to achievethe goal of independence in only a few steps; rather, it requires gradual,systematic steps.5. Most importantly, the organizations of East Turkistan do not have anideology or philosophy of independence. East Turkistan needs to adopt auniversal independence ideology or philosophy.6. Organizations in East Turkistan are agreed upon the goal of independence,but there is no consensus as to the methodology. The power-sharing andcoordination strategies are yet to be put in place.Opportunities in East Turkistan1. Given that great powers have always been interested in the historicalgeostrategic location of East Turkistan, it is highly probable that theimportance of this strategic location will continue in the future, too. Thegeo-strategic location of East Turkistan will affect the future of Chinaand it will also attract the attention of China’s rivals.2. Although Western countries do not support the independence of EastTurkistan, the human rights violations in East Turkistan are contrary tothe political and social values of the West.569
