FREEEAST TURKISTAN SYMPOSIUMThe Central People’s Radio Station is the National Radio Station in China.It was established on the December 30, 1940 when the Chinese CommunistParty was struggling domestically against the Chinese Republic, governed by theNationalist Party, and was fighting a guerrilla war against the Japanese occupationforces.According to official Chinese data last year, the total number of newspapersoperating at international, domestic, provincial and metropolitan levels is 1,938,whereas there are 9,468 weekly magazines and journals, and 296 television stationsthat broadcast in various fields. It is predicted that the number of radio stations isnearly three times that of television stations. How these active media corporationsare controlled and managed is a frequently-asked question. In order to gain asatisfactory answer to this question, one would have to analyze the relationshipbetween the management of the Communist Party and the media.The propaganda department of the central committee of the CCPOne of the first regulations of the Communist Party in China after takingover control of the government in continental China was the direct expropriationof the means of mass communication. The expropriation process was realized byannexing all means of mass communication directly to the propaganda departmentof the Central Committee of the CCP.The propaganda department of the Central Committee of the CCP is animportant political institution that aims to transmit the ideological practices of theCCP through the means of domestic mass media. The propaganda departmentof the Central Committee of the CCP was established in 1924 when a guerrillawar was being fought for the leadership of the CCP.
