Forced Emigration and the Uyghur People, Who have been Destroyed Abroad / Majeda Mahluf6. The pressure of the Chinese government on Uyghur refugees.The Chinese authorities do not grant passports to the Uyghur and do notengage in any cooperation with the Immigration Offices of the countries to whichthese people have emigrated. On the contrary, China demands the deportation ofall refugees back to China. Refugees who are deported are immediately executedby the Chinese administration. Therefore, Uyghur refugees have no recoursebut to use indirect channels. This is the only way in which they can acquire thedocuments they need to receive legal residence permits in the country to whichthey have emigrated.The Turkistan organizations in Europe and America play an active role andundertake the mission of promoting the problems of their fellow countrymen tointernational society. They not only act politically, but also inform internationalsociety of human rights violations, such as the torture, unfair trials and illegaldeath penalties that are rife in East Turkistan. Such events are also reflected inreports by international human rights organizations.Furthermore, the Turkistan organizations abroad are also in contact withrepresentatives of other autonomous regions in China. They coordinate withrepresentatives of Tibet and Mongolia to try to gain autonomous rights, asspecified in the Chinese constitution.Here, we can list some of the reasons preventing Uyghur refugees fromreturning to their homelands:1. Many Uyghur people have left the country illegally. Many Uyghurs havearrived in neighboring countries by walking through mountain passes.They do not have any legal travel documents or they travelled with falsepassports. They did this because they had been deprived of the freedomto travel. Therefore, they are unable to return to their country as they donot have a legal passport.2. They have deep concerns over being exposed to surveillance and unfairtrials if they return to their motherlands.3. The Chinese government tracks refugees, and demands theirdeportation back to China, accusing them of being terrorists. However,413
