Moreover, the dissemination of disinformation andfalse news in order to mislead individuals and societies is an extremely unethicaland amoral use of the mass media channels.Dr. Yasemin Inceoglu, from the Faculty of Communication at GalatasarayUniversity, defines disinformation as the dissemination of incomplete, false orimplausible information to deceive a given audience about an actual state ofaffairs. Inceoğlu defines informing people with this type of information as explicitdisinformation, while rendering information without any identification of sources,or with a false source, is implicit disinformation.
