3. In the Job Server Component section, in the Job server list, select a job
server.
4. If you have installed the server component for backward-compatible document
libraries, in the Document Library Server Component (Optional)
section, in the Document library server box, type the name of the server to
run the document library server component.
5. Click OK.
6. On the Configure Server Topology page, click Close.
Create a Portal Site
The final step to installing SharePoint Portal Server is creating the portal site. To create
a portal site, you will need to provide the following information:
■ Site name
■ Virtual server name to host portal
■ Site URL name
■ Owner account
■ Owner e-mail address
As noted below, some steps differ slightly depending on whether you are creating
a portal using MSDE or SQL Server as the database repository.
1. If installing with SQL Server, on the SharePoint Portal Server Central Administration
For server_name page, in the Portal Site and Virtual Server Configuration
section, click Create a portal site.
2. On the Create Portal Site For server_name page, in the Portal Creation
Options section, click Create a portal as shown in Figure 3-9.
