1. Navigate to the document library, <strong>and</strong> on the left link bar, click Modify settings<br />

<strong>and</strong> columns.<br />

2. On the Customize Document Library page, click Change general settings.<br />

3. On the Document Library Settings page, in the Document Versions section,<br />

under Create a version each time you edit a file in this document<br />

library?, click Yes.<br />

4. Click OK.<br />

Tip To find whether versioning is enabled for a document library, use the<br />

procedure just shown to check the settings.<br />

To view the contents of previous versions of a file<br />

1. Using your browser, navigate to the document library. In the row where the<br />

name of the file appears, point to the file, click the triangle on the bar that<br />

appears, <strong>and</strong> then click Version History on the menu that appears.<br />

2. In the Modified column, click the version of the file that you want to view, as<br />

illustrated in Figure 19-12.<br />
