Changing Images<br />

After you add a new image to your site, you might want to make some changes to<br />

the image, such as cropping or resizing (<strong>and</strong> then resampling to reduce the size of<br />

the file) or rotating images. The Pictures toolbar is the key to making these changes.<br />

Click on an image to open the Pictures toolbar. (See Figure 32-6.) If you do not<br />

see it, click Toolbars on the View menu <strong>and</strong> then click Pictures.<br />

The Pictures toolbar includes the functions listed in Table 32-3.<br />

Image Description<br />

Click to insert a picture from a file.<br />

Click to add text. You can insert text on top of a picture except when<br />

adding text to a .gif file. The text can be added, but it doesn’t display in<br />

Internet Explorer.<br />

Click to automatically create a thumbnail image to place on the page.<br />

When the user clicks the image, she is sent to the large version of the<br />

image.<br />

Click to position the image in a specific spot on the page.<br />

Bring the image forward.<br />

Send the image backward.<br />

Flip the image.<br />

Change the contrast on the image.<br />

Change the brightness of the image.<br />

Crop the image.<br />

Make a color in the image transparent. Use this when you want the<br />

background color or image to show through.<br />

Click to change the color of the image.<br />

Click to add a bevel border around the image.<br />

Click to select an image or a portion of an image.
