In the case that you will need to uninstall SharePoint Portal Server, perform two
steps: first uninstall SharePoint Portal Server, and then proceed to uninstalling Windows
SharePoint Services. The steps for uninstalling SharePoint Portal Server are as
follows:

1. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Microsoft Office Share-
Point Portal Server 2003.
3. Click Change.
4. On the Welcome To The Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Setup
Wizard page, click Next.
5. On the Maintenance Mode Options page, click Remove the server components
of Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 as illustrated in
Figure 3-13, and then click Next.

6. In the confirmation message box, click Yes to remove SharePoint Portal Server,
as shown in Figure 3-14.
