Parameter Description<br />

PIDKEY=CD_key CD_key is the key for the product.<br />

SPSROOT=path_for_files Path_for_files is the file path that defines the<br />

installation location for the program files for<br />

SharePoint Portal Server.<br />

SPSSEARCHDATA=path_for_search_files Path_for_search_files is the file path that<br />

defines the installation location for the content<br />

index files.<br />

INSTALLMODE=[0,1] To install SharePoint Portal Server with the<br />

database engine, install mode is 1. To install<br />

SharePoint Portal Server without the database<br />

engine, install mode is 0. This is required to set<br />

up SharePoint Portal Server from the comm<strong>and</strong><br />

line.<br />

ACCOUNTNAME=DOMAIN\account_name DOMAIN\account_name is the account name<br />

for the application pool for the installation<br />

without the database engine. This is required if<br />

install mode is 0.<br />

ACCOUNTPASSWORD=password Password is the password for the account<br />

name for the application pool. This is required<br />

if install mode is 0.<br />

Warning: When you put the password in the<br />

Setup.ini file, the password is in plain text.<br />

INSTALLLOCATION=path_to_directory Path_to_directory is the file path that defines<br />

the installation location for additional MSIs that<br />

you include in the Setup.ini file.<br />

Tip Preface the parameters with Arg= <strong>and</strong> a space, as shown in this example:<br />
