5. Change the check-box options. First deselect the User must change password<br />

at next logon option, <strong>and</strong> then select the User Cannot Change Password <strong>and</strong><br />

Password Never Expires options. The Account Is Disabled box should be clear.<br />

6. Click Create to create the account.<br />

7. In the right pane of the window, right-click the new WSSASPTester account,<br />

<strong>and</strong> from the menu, select Properties.<br />

8. On the Properties window, click the Member Of tab. By default, you should<br />

see the Users group.<br />

9. At the bottom of the window, click the Add button to open the Select Groups<br />

window. From the Select Groups window, click Advanced.<br />

10. In the lower left corner, open the Select Groups Advanced window <strong>and</strong> then<br />

click the Find Now button. This should display a list of groups <strong>and</strong> users for<br />

the server.<br />

11. Scroll the bottom window until you locate the group with the name STS_WPG.<br />

(The instance number is the IIS instance number specific to your systems<br />

installation.) Click the group name in the lower box to select it.<br />

12. Without deselecting the OWS group, scroll down until you find the VS Developers<br />

Group. Hold down the control key <strong>and</strong> click to select the VS Developers<br />

Group as well. With both selected, click OK to close the advanced window,<br />

<strong>and</strong> click OK again on the Select Groups window. This returns you to the<br />

Account Properties page.<br />

13. Click Apply to save the account settings, <strong>and</strong> then click OK to close.<br />

To create a new Active Directory directory service user account<br />

1. If you are using Active Directory, click Start, point to All Programs, point to<br />

Administrative Tools, <strong>and</strong> select Active Directory Users <strong>and</strong> Computers.<br />

2. Click the plus sign (+) next to the .local name to exp<strong>and</strong> it (if it isn’t<br />

already), <strong>and</strong> click the Users folder. The list of users should appear on the<br />

right side of the screen.<br />

3. Right-click the Users folder, <strong>and</strong> from the menu, choose New, <strong>and</strong> select User.<br />

This opens the New Object - User screen.<br />

4. Enter the user information for the new account, WSSASPTester, as follows:<br />

■ First name: WSSASPTester<br />

■ Initials: (leave blank)
