Changing the LVWP Sort Order
To change the sort order of fields displayed in a LVWP for a list or document library,
follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the list, and then click List View Properties to open the Data
View Details task pane (shown earlier in Figure 32-11).
2. Click the Sort & group link to open the Sort and Group dialog box. (See
Figure 32-19.)

3. If there are fields in the Available Fields box that you want to sort against,
click them and then click the Add button.
4. If the fields you want to sort against are already in the Sort order box, you can
click them and then click the Move Up or Move Down button to change their
priority.
5. If there are fields in the Sort order box that you do not want to sort against,
click the fields and then click the Remove button. By default, the Announcements
LVWP added by using the browser is sorted by the date that the
announcement was Modified in Descending order.
6. Make sure that the Ascending option button is selected for each field you
want to sort against if you want the sort to go from lowest to highest, or that
the Descending option button is selected if you want the sort to go from highest
to lowest.
7. Click OK when you are finished. Save your Web page by clicking the Save
option on the File menu. The LVWP is now displayed with the sort order you
specified.
