The application ’/
’ belonging to site ’SiteName’ has an invalid AppPoolId ’CentralAdminAppPool’
set. Therefore, the application will be ignored.
This issue occurs if the user account that you configured as the Configuration
Database Administration Account in the Account Name box of the
Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 page is specified incorrectly.
This issue can occur if either one of the following conditions is true:
■ You configure a local user account as the Configuration Database Administration
Account, but you do not specify the user account by using the Server-
Name\UserAccount format.
■ You configure a domain user account as the Configuration Database Administration
Account, but you do not specify the user account by using the
Domain\UserAccount format.
To resolve this issue, remove and then reinstall SharePoint Portal Server 2003
on the server. Make sure that you specify the user account that you want to use as
the Configuration Database Administration Account by using either the Server-
Name\UserAccount format or the Domain\UserAccount format (as appropriate to
your situation). The user account must also be a member of the Power Users group
on the server.
