Figure 16-3 shows what the default Team Site template looks like.

From here, you can customize the team’s website. However, note the number
of features that are available by default for your use on this page. You can easily add
announcements, events, and links by simply clicking the Add button in each of the
Web Parts. Direct your attention to the lefthand column of the screen, where you
will see other features that are included by default in the Team Site template. (Refer
to Figure 16-3.)
The items provided include:
■ A shared document library, where users of the site can easily create and upload
documents
■ A link to make it easy for users to create a picture library
■ Two predefined lists already created:
■ A contacts list, where you can add information about people your team
works with
■ A task list, to keep track of work that you or your team needs to complete
■ A general discussion board, which is a place to hold newsgroup-style discussions
on topics relevant to your team.
■ A link to make it easy to create a survey to quickly poll team members about
a particular concept or topic. If the survey is set up so that respondents’ names
are visible, the All Responses view enables you to see how each team member
responded.
