Note Once the installation appears to complete, scripts run to restart the<br />

IIS services on your machine. Be patient if you experience pauses of one to<br />

two minutes.<br />

5. After the installation completes, your default browser will start <strong>and</strong> open to<br />

the Configure Administrative Virtual Server page at http://localhost:22030<br />

/configadminvs.aspx, as shown in Figure 2-2.<br />

Note The administrative port (shown as 22030 in this example) will be different<br />

on each machine <strong>and</strong> different for each install. The Administration<br />

port number is r<strong>and</strong>omly assigned during the install by setup. In a server<br />

farm scenario, you will need to change this port number on each server in<br />

the farm to allow Central Administration to work correctly from a single console<br />

to all servers in the farm.<br />

6. By default, the Configure A New Application Pool option button is selected.<br />

Type a name for the new application pool.
