6. To allow users without the Manage Profile right to change the value of this<br />

property, select Allow users to edit this property. Otherwise, select Do not<br />

allow users to edit this property.<br />

7. In the Display Settings section, you can choose whether or not the property<br />

is displayed in the Details section of the user profile in the public view. You<br />

can also choose whether the property is displayed on the Edit My Profile page.<br />

8. To map this property to a property in Active Directory directory service, select<br />

a property from the Active Directory property to map drop-down list.<br />

9. Click OK.<br />

On the View Profile Properties page shown in Figure 23-3, the properties available<br />

for user profiles are listed <strong>and</strong> organized by sections. You can add, delete, <strong>and</strong><br />

edit properties from this page. You can also add, edit, <strong>and</strong> delete sections <strong>and</strong> move<br />

properties within <strong>and</strong> between sections.<br />

Note Sections are only used for display in the Details section of the user’s<br />

public view of My Site. It is not used when editing a user profile.<br />
