these options give you full control over the formatting possibilities. For example,
you could choose to change font color, increase the amount of space before or after
the text, add a border only to the top of the text, or position the text to wrap to the
right. The options are virtually unlimited.
When you are finished making your updates, click the OK button until you are
asked whether you want to save the Theme, and then click Yes. You might need to
repeat these steps for each style you want to change until your custom Theme is just
the way you want it.
You do not have to use default sites provisioned by SharePoint Products and Technologies.
In fact, you can create a brand new page that doesn’t contain any Share-
Point Products and Technologies functionality at all and then add list or document
library views back into your site as needed. Because Windows SharePoint Services
elements can be formatted to suit professional designs, some sites created with Windows
SharePoint Services do not look like default sites and therefore are not recognizable
as sites created with Windows SharePoint Services.
One new tool in FrontPage 2003, called image tracing, makes converting a professional
design, which is usually delivered in the form of a large graphics image of what
the site will look like when it is completed, into a fully functional website. Image tracing
allows you to place your site design into the background of a page you are working on
in Design view and then create your page on top of it. When your page is complete, you
can remove the tracing image. The tracing image is used only for the purposes of editing
and therefore will not be visible when you view your page in the browser.
To use image tracing

1. From within FrontPage 2003, import the design graphic into your site by clicking
Import on the File menu.
2. Open an existing page or create a new page, and then highlight the Tracing
Image option on the View menu. Click the Configure option under the Tracing
Image option to open the Tracing Image dialog box. (See Figure 32-32.)
