Event 6 INVALID COMMAND / CONTROL / HIC RECEIVED<br />

SNA: 2222 – No cb, snass msg, ea = %%%%, fc = %%%%<br />

Description: This message occurs in SNA trunk when a message is received from the<br />

SNASS complex and no control block could be found using the element address (EA)<br />

as the search key. The % represents a hexadecimal number.<br />

SNA: 2807 – Invalid ICS Function Rcvd<br />

Description: An ICS management message was received which contained an<br />

unknown function. May indicate an internal software error or a problem with the ICS<br />

run.<br />

SNMP 304 Received invalid message type xx from peer on port nn<br />

Description: The SNMP Agent reporting this event received a coordinating data<br />

message from another Agent using an ICS connection. The type of message was<br />

invalid either because the message was corrupted or a software error occurred. More<br />

than one SNMP Agent is loaded and configured within the same ICS domain. As each<br />

Agent initializes, it forms an ICS connection and passes coordination data messages<br />

with all other Agents so that all Agents can determine which one becomes active.<br />

Variables:<br />

xx The coordination message type received from another SNMP Agent<br />

nn The port of the SNMP Agent from which the coordination message was received<br />

Action: This event implies a possible memory corruption problem or a software<br />

error. Dump the ILM reporting this event in port nn.<br />

SNMP 401 Received unknown function type<br />

SRC<br />

Description: The sub-Agent received a message from the MIB manager containing an<br />

unknown MIB request type. The sub-Agent provides SNMP MIB information related to<br />

the SNMP itself. This includes system information and message statistics. The sub-<br />

Agent has a direct interface to the MIB manager; no ICS is involved.<br />

Action: This event implies a memory corruption or software problem. Dump the ILM<br />

or activate the ILM SNMP traces.<br />

Description: SRC has received an unrecognizable command from the alternate <strong>DCP</strong>.<br />

The message is discarded. <strong>Telcon</strong> generates this CENLOG.<br />
