Event 6 INVALID COMMAND / CONTROL / HIC RECEIVED
SNA: 2222 – No cb, snass msg, ea = %%%%, fc = %%%%
Description: This message occurs in SNA trunk when a message is received from the
SNASS complex and no control block could be found using the element address (EA)
as the search key. The % represents a hexadecimal number.
SNA: 2807 – Invalid ICS Function Rcvd
Description: An ICS management message was received which contained an
unknown function. May indicate an internal software error or a problem with the ICS
run.
SNMP 304 Received invalid message type xx from peer on port nn
Description: The SNMP Agent reporting this event received a coordinating data
message from another Agent using an ICS connection. The type of message was
invalid either because the message was corrupted or a software error occurred. More
than one SNMP Agent is loaded and configured within the same ICS domain. As each
Agent initializes, it forms an ICS connection and passes coordination data messages
with all other Agents so that all Agents can determine which one becomes active.
Variables:
xx The coordination message type received from another SNMP Agent
nn The port of the SNMP Agent from which the coordination message was received
Action: This event implies a possible memory corruption problem or a software
error. Dump the ILM reporting this event in port nn.
SNMP 401 Received unknown function type

Description: The sub-Agent received a message from the MIB manager containing an
unknown MIB request type. The sub-Agent provides SNMP MIB information related to
the SNMP itself. This includes system information and message statistics. The sub-
Agent has a direct interface to the MIB manager; no ICS is involved.
Action: This event implies a memory corruption or software problem. Dump the ILM
or activate the ILM SNMP traces.
Description: SRC has received an unrecognizable command from the alternate DCP.
The message is discarded. Telcon generates this CENLOG.
