Event 3 INPUT ERROR FROM DEVICE/TERMINAL
Event 3 INPUT ERROR FROM DEVICE/TERMINAL
INPUT ERROR FROM DEVICE/TERMINAL
Description: An input error (such as bad input parity, invalid terminal response) has
been detected. Telcon generates this CENLOG.
Action: Information only, unless the frequency of errors on a given device indicate
that you may need to repair or replace the device.
ASYNC STATUS RECEIVED (UNISCOPE)
Description: The async status bit is set if a break character (all zeroes with no stop
bit) is detected, or when a space to mark transition is detected following a break
character on async UNISCOPE lines. This status is treated as a recoverable error per
UNISCOPE line protocol rules when the transfer of data is involved. R8 contains the
value of 0020 or 0021 (bit 5 is set). UNILPH generates this CENLOG. For more
information on UNILPH CENLOG entry descriptions, refer to Section 1 of this manual.
Action: You must evaluate this status with respect to the hardware being used (both
modems and terminals). In some cases, this status should never occur (for example,
during data transfers) and repairs may be warranted. In other cases, this status may
be a natural occurrence because of the hardware involved (for example, during line
disconnection).
If logging this error causes undesirable overhead to the system, you can issue an NMS
STOP command for the line on which the error is occurring. When you have found
and corrected the source of the error, issue an NMS STRT command to restore the
line to a normal operating environment.
PU100
Description: A bad input has been received from the port processor. May be a
hardware problem.
