LINE DISCONNECTION (ABNORMAL)<br />

Description: An unexpected line disconnection has occurred. These abnormal line<br />

disconnections typically occur on direct connect lines that are not usually<br />

disconnected for any reason. <strong>Telcon</strong> generates this CENLOG.<br />

Action: Check applicable line hardware and repair or replace as necessary. These<br />

checks should include the line cable connection to the <strong>DCP</strong>, the line cable itself, the<br />

modem, direct connect module (DCM) or terminal (if the terminal is direct connect),<br />

and all other intermediate hardware between the <strong>DCP</strong> and the source of the data-setready<br />

(DSR) signal.<br />

FCS Error<br />

Description: The Common Network Management Service (CNMS) X.25 interface<br />

module in PDNSVS received an unrecoverable line-error notification. The line module<br />

could not validate the frame’s frame-check sequence (FCS). This event could include<br />

the LINE name.<br />

Attributes affected: Supplementary text message, Line event, Line Control Block<br />

(LCB) address may be in Register R11. The X.25 PSCS program product generates this<br />

CENLOG.<br />

Full Input Queue to Level 3<br />

Description: The Common Network Management Service (CNMS) X.25 interface<br />

module in PDNSVS received an unrecoverable line-error notification. The port<br />

processor is unable to send the frame received from the network to the layer 3 module<br />

(or the multi-link module). The module’s input queue is full. This event could include<br />

the LINE name.<br />
