Glossary
The X.25 PSCS initialization procedure. This procedure is defined in X.25 PSCS element
PDNIUS. When the first line configured for X.25 PSCS becomes enabled, this procedure
examines all other configuration statements related to X.25 PSCS and builds internal data
structures needed for the X.25 PSCS operation.
Implements the X.25 packet-level protocol (level 3). This procedure is defined in both the
nonfunctional Telcon element PDNL3 and in the X.25 PSCS element PDNL3. The
nonfunctional procedure is present only when X.25 PSCS is not installed. This procedure
provides an interface between the various level 4 programs using the Layer 3/4 Platform
and the link level or multi link-level protocol.
The transport protocol terminal interface for UTS 4000 Cluster Controllers running UTS
X.25 PSCS software. This procedure is defined in X.25 PSCS element PDNL4. It provides
an interface between the terminal interface in element PDNLPD and the X.25 packet-level
protocol.
The terminal virtualizer interface handler for UTS 4000 Cluster Controllers running UTS
X.25 PSCS software. This procedure is defined in X.25 PSCS element PDNLPD. It
provides an interface between the transport protocol in procedure PDNL44 and the Telcon
UTS virtualizer.
The nonfunctional version of the interface handler for processing NMS command
parameters defined for X.25 PSCS. This procedure is defined in Telcon and is present only
when X.25 PSCS is not installed.
See Public Data Network Multi Link-Level Protocol.
The Telcon NMS interface handler for processing NMS command parameters defined for
X.25 PSCS. This procedure validates the NMS command and its parameter values, invokes
functions to other modules in X.25 PSCS for performing the NMS command, and generates
output response and information messages to the NMS console.
The handler for asynchronous terminals connected to an X.29 network PAD across an X.25
network. This procedure is defined in X.25 PSCS element PDNPAF. It provides an
interface between Telcon’s INT-1 protocol and the X.25 packet level protocol. When a
terminal makes a packet level connection, the terminal operator uses standard Telcon
control commands, forming a session to an application.
The X.25 line handler. This procedure is defined in both the nonfunctional Telcon element
PDNSVS and the X.25 PSCS element PDNSVS. The nonfunctional procedure is present
only if X.25 in not installed. This procedure processes line initialization and line
termination commands.
