Event 4 ADRD FAILURE
Event 4 ADRD FAILURE
ADRD FAILURE
Description: An unsuccessful Auto Data Rate Detection (ADRD) attempt was made.
This error is reported when a hardware error (indication of a failed ADRD attempt) is
detected on a disconnected TTY line that is configured for ADRD. Telcon generates
this CENLOG.
Action: This CENLOG is informative only and can occur legitimately until the correct
data rate has been detected. If the data rate can never be correctly identified, check
and repair the applicable hardware (DCP line module or terminal).
ALPMCP
Description: This event occurs when the line module detects an error. The
supplemental message indicates whether it occurred on input or output. The
hardware status is shown in the DEVICE-ID field of the short-display, and in R15 of
the long display. A high frequency of these events indicates a problem (hardware,
configuration, operational, or device) that should be corrected. This event occurs
only when the error is detected while ADRD is being performed. Telcon generates
this CENLOG.
TTYLPH
Description: This event occurs when the line module detects an error during ADRD
processing. The source of the error could be hardware, configuration, or operational
procedure (wrong ADRD character typed). The status-flags should be examined to
determine the error source, and the cause of the error should be corrected. This is
considered a recoverable error. Other information logged:
R7: MCT status bits from IOP
R8: Transfer-count (from last SDT to/from this message)
R14: Line ID
R15: Status-flags (from SDT)
Telcon generates this CENLOG.
