Event 4 EVENT/ERROR DETECTED AT L4
(TRANSPORT)
EVENT/ERROR DETECTED AT L4 (TRANSPORT)
Description: An error has been discovered in a Layer 4 protocol packet that DTP
received. Layer 4 is the Transport Layer of the DCA stack. DTP is the Transport
Layer. DTP has received an invalid service primitive. R13 contains a JLR return
address of the offset within the DTP module at which the error was discovered. IF R6
was nonzero, the first 64 words of the source buffer in question is traced in the
CENLOG. After that, the 16 words of the MCT trace history (MC$PROCNR) are also
traced. If R6 is nonzero and R11 is nonzero, then R9 will show the TSU (EU) class
from TP$TSUCL. R11 shows the address of the TP$ entry.
Action: If this is occurring frequently, and/or if users are unable to make session
connections for no other explainable reason, then take a SNAP dump. Submit the
dump, with the configuration print-file from HCONFIG and the CENLOG files or hardcopy
long-format printouts of these CENLOGs. If there are any program products
installed that deal with network transports (such as OSITS, TCP–IP, PSCS, or X.25),
submit the UCF to the most active program first. If there is any local code dealing
with network transports, submit the dump information to the owners. Otherwise,
submit the UCF to the Telcon product.
