Description: This is a STAT file command response.<br />

FILE NOT FOUND<br />

Description: The file name specified on a tape command does not exist.<br />

Action: Verify the file name and retry the command.<br />

I/O ERROR ON aaa , FILE=aaa , CNCL or READY DRIVE<br />

Description: The tape drive is not ready.<br />

Action: Either cancel (CNCL) the previous tape ASG, or ready the tape drive.<br />

ILLEGAL USM TERMINAL TYPE<br />

Description: This error is generated when an attempt is made to send a USM to a<br />

terminal that is not a legal USM recipient.<br />

Description: A parity error was detected while attempting to input a message on a<br />

device (such as a teletypewriter) that has no recovery procedure in its link protocol.<br />

Action: Check the line or terminal if this message displays frequently.<br />
