Event 5 PP HARDWARE ERROR STATISTICS LOGGED
Description: Logging/Notification of PP Error Statistics is exceedingly high. This
CENLOG occurs when the ratio of PP error counts to I/O transmission counts exceeds
the maximum percentage, as configured on the MAXERR parameter of the associated
LCLASS statement. The default is five percent. This CENLOG will not appear if the
PPE STATS parameter on the PRCSR statement does not specify YES (the default is
NO). This CENLOG prints a formatted message (showing the error-rate percentage
and the PPID) for each port that was excessive in error ratio. Telcon generates this
CENLOG.
Supplementary Message for Class 07, Event 05
I/O TRANSMISSION ERROR RATE = N% ON PORT N(HEX) N(DECIMAL)
Action: If operations seem acceptable to users, then increase the MAXERR
parameter on the corresponding LCLASS configuration statement. If operations are
not acceptable, try a different line module, modem, or DCM. Contact your Unisys
representative if operation is still unacceptable.
