Event 7 SWITCH NOTIFICATION
SWITCH NOTIFICATION
Description: An internal process issued a command to an LSM or RCM, but the
requested hardware could not be accessed. Telcon generates this CENLOG.
Action: The customer engineer and systems analyst need to examine the hardware
and the Telcon configuration to determine the problem.
Supplementary Messages for Class 11, Event 07
A–B Switch responded with an I error
Description: A command sent to the device has resulted in the device responding
with an I (incomplete) status. The matrix switch handler generates this CENLOG.
Action: Check hardware connections and configuration.
Action for port ssss and dddd failed. Error: nnnn
Description: Connection of ports ssss and dddd failed due to the error specified.
The matrix switch handler generates this CENLOG.
Action: Error nnnn is defined by the line switch. Contact your line switch
representative.
Bad A–B Switch line speed or timefill
Description: An I (incomplete), S, or X status from the device could be a result of a
bad configuration defining the line speed control line or a bad timefill value has been
specified. The matrix switch handler generates this CENLOG.
Action: Check the configuration for correct TTY device values with respect to line
speed and/or number of timefill characters.
Bad number of A–B Switch device ports configured
Description: The number of ports entered on the IDENT parameter in your
configuration is larger than the number of physical ports on the device. The matrix
switch handler generates this CENLOG.
Action: Correct the number of ports in your configuration.
