Remote File System (RFS) <strong>Message</strong>s<br />

Warning <strong>Message</strong>s<br />

Table 18–3 lists the warning messages that may accompany a work order completion<br />

message.<br />

These messages are reported with the DDP status code 8, REPORT TEXT. If the command<br />

was entered from an RFS console, these messages will be displayed. If the command was<br />

entered from a foreign system, these messages may not be displayed.<br />

These messages indicate that the command was completed successfully, but some<br />

parameters given in the command may have been ignored or overridden.<br />

A maximum size parameter is specified for a tape file, but<br />

is not supported by <strong>Telcon</strong> (the maximum size parameter<br />

only applies to disk files).<br />

A parity parameter other than ODD is specified, but only<br />

ODD is supported by <strong>Telcon</strong>.<br />

A maximum size parameter is not specified or the<br />

maximum size parameter is zero. Thus, a default value of<br />

10 blocks is used.<br />
