Event 4 OUTPUT ERROR TO DEVICE/TERMINAL
MISSING ACK ERROR (UNISCOPE)
Description: This is a recoverable line protocol error that is generally caused by
faulty line or terminal hardware or unacceptable electrical noise on the line. R8
contains the value 00E7. UNILPH generates this CENLOG. For more information on
UNILPH CENLOG entry descriptions, refer to Section 1 of this manual.
Action: If this error occurs for many terminals on the same line, check and repair the
line hardware and its electrical environment (including cables, modems, DCPs, and
multiplexers).
If this error occurs for only one terminal, or only for terminals connected to the same
cluster controller, check and repair the terminal or cluster.
If this error occurs often enough to cause undue overhead to the system, you can
issue an NMS STOP command for the line, poll group, or terminal, as applicable.
When the malfunctioning hardware has been taken offline, issue an NMS STRT
command to restore a normal operating environment.
OUTPUT ERROR TO DEVICE/TERMINAL
Description: An output error (such as invalid or no response to an output message)
Action: Informational only, unless the frequency of the error for a given device
implies that you may need to repair or replace the device.
