Event 3 EVENT/ERROR DETECTED AT L3 (NETWORK)<br />

X.25: PDNL3 TRACE FILE ERROR<br />

Description: The PDNL3 module was unable to successfully write trace information<br />

into its trace file. An error was returned by the <strong>DCP</strong> OS FILE$ service.<br />

R8: <strong>DCP</strong> OS FILE$ error code<br />

Attributes affected: Supplementary text message. The X.25 PSCS program product<br />

generates this CENLOG. Procedure: PDNL3.<br />

X.25 - PDNL3 Trace File Error - No Space<br />

Description: The NMS TRAC SNAP=X25 command was used to enable an X.25<br />

protocol packet and/or message data tracing on a virtual circuit. An error occurred<br />

while cataloging the trace file used by the PDNL3 module.<br />

R8: <strong>DCP</strong>/OS FILE$ error code corresponding to equate FR$NS, “no space or no<br />

free DSL”<br />

Attributes affected: Supplementary text message. The X.25 PSCS program product<br />

generates this CENLOG. Procedure PDNL3.<br />

Action: Delete some unused <strong>DCP</strong> mass storage files to free disk space. The disk<br />

space required must be contiguous.<br />

X.25 Reset by <strong>DCP</strong>–Cause, Diagnostic=hhhh,hhhh<br />

Description: The Common Network Management Service (CNMS) X.25 interface<br />

module in PDNSVS received an alarm notification. (CNMS does not need to be<br />

operating for this CENLOG to be enabled.) The layer 3 module sent a reset packet to<br />

the network for a particular virtual circuit. This event may include the DTE statement<br />

name or address information.<br />

R9: Logical channel number<br />

R10: Packet’s cause code. See Appendix C of this manual for a description of the<br />

cause code.<br />

R11: Packet’s diagnostic code. See Appendix A of this manual for a description of<br />

the diagnostic code.<br />

R12: CNMS alarm code<br />

Attributes affected: Supplementary text message, Line event, Device event (if the<br />

clear [reset] packet is associated with a configured DTE statement and CNMS is not<br />

active), can include CNMS interface packet. The X.25 PSCS program product<br />

generates this CENLOG. Procedure: PDNSVS.<br />
