Event 11 ILM EVENT<br />

SNMP 502 Register packet received with an error status (xxxx)<br />

Description: If this CENLOG displays, there is a coding problem.<br />

Variable: xxxx The status received in the SMP Register Packet.<br />

Action: An SNMP trace with TYPE=LM can be used to capture the offending SMP.<br />

SNMP 503 Register packet received with a count of zero<br />

Description: If this CENLOG displays, there is a coding problem.<br />

Action: An SNMP trace with TYPE=LM can be used to capture the offending SMP.<br />

SNMP 504 Bad SMP REG received by MIBman<br />

Description: An error occurred while processing the SMP registration packet. This<br />

could be a coding error or an SMP is trying to register for a MIB branch that is not<br />

known by MIBman.<br />

Action: Check the <strong>DCP</strong> file ENS*ENSMIB, to make sure all the dynamic MIBs are<br />

listed. If all the MIB files are there, an SNMP trace with TYPE=LM can be used to<br />

capture the offending SMP. Dump the ILM after the traces have been turned off.<br />

SNMP 505 Bad index type (xx), used<br />

Description: The MIB definition received by the SNMP Agent from the manager does<br />

not match the SNMP Agent’s MIB definition.<br />

Variable: xx The MIB definition (instance encoding type)<br />

Action: Ensure that the MIB definition used by the manager matches the MIB<br />

definition used by the SNMP Agent. An SNMP trace with TYPE=M can be used to<br />

capture the offending message.<br />

SNMP 506 Bad Get Response or interface error message (xxxx)<br />

Description: A response from the SMP contained an error. There is a coding<br />

problem.<br />

Variable: xxxx An error code stating what was wrong with the response.<br />

Action: An SNMP trace with TYPE=LM can be used to determine the cause of the<br />

problem.<br />
