BSC Transaction Interface (BSCTIF)<br />

A BSC half-duplex, point-to-point protocol used for host-to-host communication. BSCTIF<br />

can be used to transmit data between foreign computers and TIP applications within<br />

<strong>Unisys</strong> hosts.<br />

BVINPUT<br />

IBM BSC protocol converter for remote batch sites using the IBM 2780/3780 protocol.<br />

Converts input messsages in the BSC protocol to the RB2 protocol for input messages to<br />

CMS 1100 RB2 CSU.<br />

BVOUTPUT<br />

IBM BSC protocol converter for remote batch sites using the IBM 2780/3780 protocol.<br />

Converts output messages to the BSC protocol from the RB2 protocol from input<br />

messages from CMS 1100 RB2 CSU.<br />

CMS 1100 network<br />

One or more interconnected CMS 1100 nodes. Node interconnections can be direct or<br />

indirect. If indirect, interconnections can be through an intermediate <strong>Telcon</strong> node or<br />

through a TCP/IP or OSI internetwork connection.<br />

CMS 1100 node<br />

A CMS 1100 program on an OS 2200 or <strong>Series</strong> 2200 host. Each host can contain more than<br />

one node; each node has a separate configuration file.<br />

Communications Management System (CMS 1100)<br />

The software that manages data communication to and from OS 2200 host computers.<br />

CMS 1100 provides an interface between the OS 2200 and the <strong>Telcon</strong>/<strong>DCP</strong>.<br />
