Error <strong>Message</strong>s<br />

Remote File System (RFS) <strong>Message</strong>s<br />

Table 18–4 lists error messages that may accompany a work-order rejection message.<br />

These messages are reported with the DDP status code 8, REPORT TEXT. If the command<br />

was entered from an RFS console, these messages are displayed. If the command was<br />

entered from a foreign system, these messages may not be displayed.<br />

These messages indicate the command was not completed due to the reason specified.<br />

the maximum amount of time allowed to wait for the<br />

file has elapsed.<br />

DESTINATION NAME UNKNOWN A remote target system is unknown; the RFS system<br />

is not configured properly; or an internal system<br />

error has occurred.<br />

IPC DETECTED ERROR,<br />

CODE=>ipc error code<<br />

An error is detected by the underlying IPC service<br />

used by RFS. IPC error classes and codes are listed<br />

in Tables 18–5 through 18–12.<br />

FILE TRANSFER SESSION IS DOWN The session used by RFS has been lost.<br />

AUTHORIZATION DENIED The UID parameter specified in the NMS RFS<br />

command (the NMS command used to enter the RFS<br />

mode) is not allowed to access a target DDP system<br />

or an internal system error has occurred.<br />
