Section 1 Introduction The DCP Series Telcon Message Manual is one of several documents that comprise the Communications Delivery (CD) library. CENLOG Class Types This subsection explains critical event notification and logging (CENLOG) class types. CENLOG messages are divided into 16 classes. Each class contains 16 events, for a total of 256 event types. The following table describes the kind of events and errors assigned to CENLOG classes. For information on how to log CENLOG messages, control displays, and automatically catalog CENLOG files, refer to the Telcon Operations Guide (7831 5785). For information on how to use NMS commands associated with CENLOG messages, refer to the Telcon Operations Reference Manual (7831 5728). Table 1–1. CENLOG Class Types Class Events/Errors 1 There are no CENLOGs defined for this class. 2 Contains CENLOGs that result from debug tools that may be disabled with a special NMS TRON command. 3 Contains CENLOGs assigned by program products. 4 Contains CENLOGs assigned by program products. 5 Contains errors and status information associated with the software and configuration. 6 Contains normal connection/disconnection and sign-on/sign-off events. 7 Contains hardware errors, statistics, and utilization events. 8 Contains security-related events, including access attempts. 9 These CENLOGs result when an administrator alters a facility by issuing an NMS command that controls the facility. The change in the operational mode of the specific facility specified in the command is reported in the CENLOG. 10 Contains traffic messages the system is unable to deliver (UDMs) and time/date changes. 11 These CENLOGs result from automatic facility control alterations made by the software control modules. 7436 0728–303 1–1
