Event 6 IPP/IOP HARDWARE EVENT
Description: R15 has code and status. This is a hardware event. Telcon generates
this CENLOG.
Supplementary Messages for Class 07, Event 06
The following Class 7 Event 6 CENLOGs report hardware events that can occur on a
DCP62X.
CODE IN LOWER BYTE OF R15
Description: If the lower byte of R15 contains event code 020, then the upper byte is
the PPID. A port processor (PP) unexpected state-item occurred on a port not
assigned to a DCP/OS run. This can occur when you issue an UP or DOWN line
command.
Action: Contact your Unisys representative.
Description: If the lower byte of R15 contains event code 021, then the upper byte is
the IOPID number and an unexpected background state-item has occurred.
Action: Contact your Unisys representative.
Description: If the lower byte of R15 contain an event code of 050, 052, or 053, a
Control Station or MCF error has occurred.
050 – The link between the Control Station and the DCP has gone through recovery
because of an error detected by the MCF. The OS terminal(s) are recovered
but any Telcon terminals active on the Control Station must be restarted.
051 – The link between the Control Station and the DCP has gone through recovery
because of an error detected by the DCP. The OS terminal(s) are recovered
but any Telcon terminals active on the Control Station must be restarted.
052 – The link between the MCF and the DCP has gone through recovery because of
an error detected by the DCP.
Action: No action is required unless these CENLOGs are repeatedly occurring, then
call your Unisys representative.
