PPP (nnn) Starting LCP Protocol<br />

Event 11 ILM EVENT<br />

Description: PPP is starting Link Control Protocol for line (nnn is an indicator of the<br />

location of the CENLOG in the PPP software).<br />

Action: None.<br />

PPP (nnn) SAI Up signal sent to HLE<br />

Description: The user IA or High Level Entity (HLE) has been informed that the PPP<br />

Link is ready to use (nnn is an indicator of the location of the CENLOG in the PPP<br />

software).<br />

Action: None.<br />

PPP (nnn) SAI Down signal sent to HLE<br />

Description: The user IA or High Level Entity (HLE) has been informed that the PPP<br />

Link is no longer available to the user (nnn is an indicator of the location of the<br />

CENLOG in the PPP software).<br />

Action: This may be a normal action caused by management command. If this is<br />

caused by PPP link failure, an additional CENLOG identifies the failure.<br />

PPP (nnn) Received Protocol Reject<br />

Description: PPP received a protocol reject packet from its peer on the link (nnn is<br />

an indicator of the location of the CENLOG in the PPP software).<br />

Action: This indicates a PPP configuration error. Examine the PPP configuration for<br />

both ends of the PPP line and fix the PPP configuration.<br />

PPP (nnn) Received Code Reject<br />

Description: PPP received a code reject packet from its peer on the link (nnn is an<br />

indicator of the location of the CENLOG in the PPP software).<br />

Action: This indicates that the peer PPP software is not compatible. Contact your<br />

<strong>Unisys</strong> representitive.<br />

PPP (nnn) Received Unknown Code<br />

Description: PPP received an unknown code in a packet from its peer on the link<br />

(nnn is an indicator of the location of the CENLOG in the PPP software).<br />

Action: This indicates that the peer PPP software is not compatible. Contact your<br />

<strong>Unisys</strong> representitive.<br />
