Remote File System (RFS) Messages
Error Messages Generated from RFS Consoles
Table 18–1 lists the error messages that are generated by the RFS consoles (NMS consoles
operating in the RFS command mode). These messages are generated by the local Telcon
system from which the RFS command was entered.
Table 18–1. Error Messages from RFS Consoles
Message Explanation
INVALID RFS COMMAND The command entered is not CREATE, PURGE, COPY, HELP,
FORMAT, or EXIT.
RFS SYNTAX ERROR The FILE or FROM keyword is not the first keyword specified
in the command; the TO keyword is not the second keyword
specified in the command; the command entered does have
sufficient data to be parsed correctly; a file name contains
more than 80 characters; one of the following special
characters is used incorrectly, or a string containing one of
the following special characters is not enclosed in single
quotes:
space
, comma
! exclamation point
' single quote
" double quote
& ampersand
= equal sign
# pound sign
: colon
; semicolon
INVALID RFS KEYWORD An invalid keyword was entered for a particular command.

An invalid keyword value was entered for a particular
keyword.
The RFS system is temporarily out of resources. The
command may be retried at a later time.
A DDP status code that is not known to this Telcon system
was returned. The value displayed may be used as a crossreference
to a DDP status code used in the target system.
Recognizable DDP status codes are listed in Table 18–2.
An internal system error has occurred.
