Event 8 SYSTEM SERVICE CALL EXCEPTION STATUS
Event 8 SYSTEM SERVICE CALL EXCEPTION
STATUS
SYSTEM SERVICE CALL EXCEPTION STATUS
Description: A request was made to a system-service routine to perform some
function, but the system service routine rejected the request and instead returned an
error status. Examples of system-service routines are configuration file access and
DCP/OS architecture services. Telcon generates this CENLOG.
Action: If the system does not appear to be working, take a system dump.
INSTDC
Description: INSTDC failed to make catalog entry for the instrumentation/statistics
file. The configured file size for the file may be too large or too many files have been
cataloged.
R0: File control error code
Telcon generates this CENLOG.
Load Fail on Port XXX (not responding)
Description: An attempt to load an ILM failed while attempting to initialize a line.
The ILM is not responding.
Action: Retry the line initialization or free the port and retry the line initialization.
Load Fail on Port XXX (already owned)
Description: The ILM Platform attempted to initialize a line on a port. The DCP/OS
returned a status indicating the port was owned by another run.
Action: If the DCP is dual partition, the port may be assigned to the other partition.
The run on the partition in question must have the same ‘Application ID’ to assign the
port.
If the port is assigned to another run, the port is unavailable for use. Identify the run
that has the port assigned and take the appropriate action to free the port from the
other run.
