Event 1 HARDWARE LINE ERROR (NOT A PP STATE ITEM)<br />

NTRLPH<br />

Description: This event occurs when line module/CLC detects a hardware error.<br />

The supplemental message tells what type of error was detected. Except for the MAX<br />

OUTPUT RETRIES case, these errors are considered to be recoverable. If any of<br />

these errors start to occur quite often, the cause should be investigated and corrected.<br />

Other information logged:<br />

R8: Status flags (from SDT)<br />

R9: NAK–1 detail code<br />

01 <strong>Message</strong> too long<br />

02 <strong>Message</strong> too short<br />

03 Input message time-out<br />

04 <strong>Message</strong>-number sequence error<br />

05 Response-timeout (idle-site handshake)<br />

07 Parity/LRC error<br />

08 1st character not OSH or G<br />

R13:<br />

0A Input overrun/output underrun<br />

0C No buffer for input<br />

0D Too many inputs without acknowledging outstanding output<br />

0E Wrong FDX/HDX sign-on for line configuration<br />

Least significant byte of transfer count 44<br />

R14: PPID<br />

No other information is logged. <strong>Telcon</strong> generates this CENLOG.<br />

TTYLPH<br />

Description: This event occurs when the line module detects an error. The<br />

supplemental message with this logged event indicates whether the error was on<br />

output or input. A high frequency of these events indicates a problem (hardware,<br />

configuration, or device) that should be corrected. These are considered to be<br />

recoverable errors. Other information logged:<br />

R7: MCT status bits from IOP<br />

R8: Transfer-count (from last SDT to/from this message)<br />

R14: Line-ID<br />

R15: Status flags (from SDT). For more information about UNISCOPE line errors<br />

using Class 15, refer to Section 1 of this manual.<br />
