Event 2 COMMUNICATIONS LINE PROTOCOL ERROR DETECTED
UNISCOPE TERMINAL IS DATA STREAMING
Description: Terminal is data streaming. This is a line protocol rule violation in
which the terminal is sending input text in response to the acknowledgment of a
previous input text. R8 contains the value of 00E4. UNILPH generates this CENLOG.
For more information on UNILPH CENLOG entry descriptions, refer to Section 1 of
this manual.
Action: If the error occurs often, take the terminal offline and check and repair. If
logging this error is creating intolerable overhead to the system and the terminal is
signed on, you can issue an NMS STOP command for the offending terminal until it
can be taken offline. When the terminal has been taken offline, issue an NMS STRT
command to restore the normal operating environment of the line.
UNRECOVERABLE LINE ERROR (UNISCOPE)
Description: This error is logged when all error recovery attempts have failed and a
general ACK is to be sent on the line in a final attempt to clear the error. This may
result in the loss of data if the error sequence was initiated by input from a terminal.
UNILPH generates this CENLOG. For more information on UNILPH CENLOG entry
descriptions, refer to Section 1 of this manual.
Action: Review the previous CENLOGs pertaining to this line and take the
appropriate operator action according to the errors logged.
