Different configuration file formats, such as a Hexidecimal(.hex) or Tabular Text File (.ttf) format, will have different file sizes.However, for any specific version of the Quartus ® II software, any designtargeted for the same device will have the same uncompressedconfiguration file size. If you are using compression, the file size can varyafter each compilation because the compression ratio is dependent on thedesign.This chapter explains the Stratix II and Stratix II GX device configurationfeatures and describes how to configure Stratix II and Stratix II GXdevices using the supported configuration schemes. This chapterprovides configuration pin descriptions and the Stratix II andStratix II GX device configuration file formats.
