Passive Serial ConfigurationIf you are using a download cable to configure device(s) on a board thatalso has configuration devices, electrically isolate the configurationdevice from the target device(s) and cable. One way of isolating theconfiguration device is to add logic, such as a multiplexer, that can selectbetween the configuration device and the cable. The multiplexer chipallows bidirectional transfers on the nSTATUS and CONF_DONE signals.Another option is to add switches to the five common signals (nCONFIG,nSTATUS, DCLK, DATA0, and CONF_DONE) between the cable and theconfiguration device.
