Cross Trigger13.1 About the cross triggerThe Cortex-A15 MPCore processor has a single external cross trigger channel interface. Thisexternal interface is connected to the CoreSight CTI interface corresponding to each processorthrough a simplified Cross Trigger Matrix (CTM). A number of trigger inputs and triggeroutputs are connected between debug components in the Cortex-A15 MPCore processor andCoreSight CTI blocks. The CoreSight Cross Trigger Interface (CTI) enables the debug logic, PTM, and PMU, tointeract with each other and with other CoreSight components. This is called cross triggering. For example, you configure the CTI to generate an interrupt when the PTM trigger event occurs.Figure 13-1 shows the debug system components and the available trigger inputs and triggeroutputs.Cortex-A15 MPCore ProcessorOptional processor 4Optional processor 3Optional processor 2Processor 1Non-processorPMUEVENTEXTOUT[1:0]PMUPTMDebugPTMTRIGGEREXTIN[3:0]EXTOUT[1:0]DBGRQDBGTRIGGERDBGRESTARTCOMMRXCOMMTXOptional CSCTI 4Optional CSCTI 3Optional CSCTI 2CSCTI 1nPMUIRQnCTIIRQCTIEXTTRIGCTICHOUTCTICHINPTMDBGRQ PMU EVENTSCTMCTICHOUTCTICHOUTACKCTICHINCTICHINACKCOMMTXCOMMRXEDBGRQFigure 13-1 Debug system componentsARM DDI 0438I Copyright © 2011-2013 ARM.
