Políticas <strong>de</strong> Leitura - Linhas <strong>de</strong> força para cativar leitores<br />

Resumo<br />

O presente estu<strong>do</strong> resultou <strong>de</strong> uma investigação aplicada que i<strong>de</strong>ntificou, <strong>em</strong> várias latitu<strong>de</strong>s,<br />

práticas escolares e sociais tidas como eficazes na promoção <strong>de</strong> <strong>leitura</strong>, b<strong>em</strong> como estu<strong>do</strong>s<br />

teóricos que suportam essas práticas.<br />

Neste poster, fixámo-nos <strong>em</strong> algumas das conclusões que r<strong>em</strong>et<strong>em</strong> para a educação literária<br />

como forma <strong>de</strong> criar o gosto pela <strong>leitura</strong> e acelerar o processo <strong>de</strong> aprendizag<strong>em</strong>, <strong>de</strong>s<strong>de</strong> as<br />

“intuições iniciais”, consagradas na Pedagogia das Amas/Nursery Rhymes, ao PISA 2000<br />

(Programme for International Stu<strong>de</strong>nt Assess<strong>em</strong>ent). Esse estu<strong>do</strong> compara<strong>do</strong>, <strong>de</strong> amplas<br />

dimensões, evi<strong>de</strong>ncia o papel e o peso da <strong>leitura</strong> por gosto e <strong>do</strong> contacto com manifestações da<br />

cultura clássica, <strong>de</strong>signadamente a Literatura, na performance <strong>do</strong>s alunos.<br />

Seleccionaram-se e con<strong>de</strong>nsaram-se algumas das práticas e seus fundamentos, <strong>de</strong> mo<strong>do</strong> a<br />

traçar um roteiro simples <strong>de</strong> passos que contribuam para elevar os níveis <strong>de</strong> literacia da<br />

população, <strong>em</strong> geral, e <strong>do</strong>s alunos <strong>do</strong> Ensino Básico, <strong>em</strong> particular.<br />

Abstract<br />

The present study is the outcome of an applied research. This research i<strong>de</strong>ntified school and<br />

social practices, in different latitu<strong>de</strong>s, consi<strong>de</strong>red effective to foster reading, as well as theoretical<br />

studies supporting those practices.<br />

In this poster we focused on some study conclusions that point out the literary education as a<br />

mean to foster the taste for reading and speed up the learning process, from the “starting<br />

intuitions” stated in Nanny Pedagogy to PISA 2000 (Programme for International Stu<strong>de</strong>nt<br />

Assess<strong>em</strong>ent). This huge compared study <strong>em</strong>phasizes the role and the importance of both<br />

reading for the fun and contact with formal cultural offspring such as Literature, in what concerns<br />

pupils’ performance.<br />

Some practices and their fundaments have been selected and con<strong>de</strong>nsed in or<strong>de</strong>r to pinpoint a<br />

simple route of steps which may contribute to elevate the people’s literacy levels, namely the<br />

college<br />
