Das Seminar befasst sich mit aktuellen staatstheoretischen Bezügen zur Problematik politischer
Steuerung, wie sie unter dem Begriff der "Governance" vorgestellt wird. In diesem Kontext
werden ausgewählte Beiträge institutionalistischer Staatstheorie diskutiert.

The course aims at providing the participants with a brief overview of the United Nations
System: how it has developed, how it is structured and what its future tasks and challenges
are. The course will then try to understand the inner dynamics of this intergovernmental World
Organisation by studying a few practical examples of "UN policy making".
