Nellie Joyce <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Browns Summit- Mrs. Nellie Joyce <strong>Gunn</strong>, 76, of 5205 N.C. 150 East died Friday 2-10-1984, at<br />

Wesley Long Community Hospital. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Friendship United<br />

Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was a native of Rockingham County.<br />

Surviving are sons, Charles <strong>Gunn</strong> of Brown Summit, Keith <strong>Gunn</strong> of Augusta, Ga.; daughter,<br />

Mrs. W. H. Sawyers Jr. of Browns Summit; brothers, Dr. Weldon Joyce and Howell Joyce of<br />

Madison, Emory Joyce of Mayodan, Fred Joyce of High Point, Geoffrey Joyce of Sandy<br />

Ridge; sister, Mrs. Vivian Carter of Madison; six grandchildren. The family will be at<br />

Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.<br />

Nellie Roberta Hooks <strong>Gunn</strong> Taueg<br />

Gary, Indiana Formerly East Chicago, Indiana Age 94, passed away Saturday, June 14,<br />

2008. She was a member of the Missionary Board at Tabernacle Church and a muscician at<br />

Grace Baptist Church. She retired from the Visiting Nurses Association in Hammond, IN.<br />

She graduated from East Chicago Washington High School, Class of 1938 and Moody Bible<br />

Institute. She was a lifetime member of Tabernacle Church. She is preceded in death by<br />

husband, Timothy Taueg Sr., parents, Frank G. Hooks Sr. and Julia C. Hooks, son, Sidney<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, stepson, Timothy K. Taueg Jr., sister, Julia Etta Stewart, and brother, Frank G.<br />

Hooks Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Millicent Dixon of Chicago, IL; sons,<br />

Kenneth (Dorothy) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Dalton, IL, Virgil (Pattalyn) Taueg of Indianapolis, IN;<br />

daughter, Julie Tramble of Chicago, IL: 4 special nieces, Helen Stewart & Eileen Means her<br />

primary caregivers, Charlene Parks-Ward and Kimberly Dixon; 26 grandchildren; 25 great<br />

grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives. Funeral services Saturday, June<br />

21, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3715 Butternut St., East Chicago, IN,<br />

Rev. James Hunter, officiating. Visitation will be the same day as service 9 a.m. until time of<br />

Nelson Franklin <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Wicomico -- Nelson Franklin <strong>Gunn</strong>, 67, a retired Civil Service employee, died early Monday<br />

in Walter Reed Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and the<br />

Men"s Bible Class of the Church; Achilles Lodge No. 281, AF&AM; Urbanna Royal Arch<br />

Chapter 59; and Mildred Warner Chapter 129, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include<br />

two daughters, Mrs. James R. Gray of Hayes and Mrs. Connie Phillips of Wicomico; a son,<br />

Lemuel <strong>Gunn</strong> of Epping, NH; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2pm<br />

Wednesday in Providence Baptist Church by the Rev. William J. Corey and Rev. Clyde<br />

Kirby. Burial with Masonic rites will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive<br />

friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The body will be<br />
