Roxie K. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Mrs. Harley <strong>Gunn</strong> died in her Elkin home on Sunday, Dec 11, 1920 after an illness lasting<br />

nearly five weeks. She was a victim of para typhoid fever. Her two children had been<br />

suffering from the same disease and she had been nursing them through the siege, weakening<br />

her own constitution such that she could not overcome the disease herself. Her funeral will<br />

be conducted Wednesday at the East Union church. Before her marriage she was Roxie<br />

Kelly the daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Kelly of Kempton. She was 25 years of age when<br />

she died, having been born June 25, 1895. She married Harley <strong>Gunn</strong> on Feb 19, 1915 in<br />

Kempton and two children were born to the union; Dwight Lamar age 5, and John William<br />

age 2. She is survived by one brother and 5 sisters.<br />

Roy <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Funeral service for Roy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Gainesville will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 6 2001, at Arlington<br />

Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 60, died Tuesday in Dallas, Texas. Born May 27, 1941, in<br />

Daingerfield, Texas, he graduated from Arlington State College, now the University of Texas<br />

at Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard and Billy, and<br />

sister Dell. Survivors include his wife, Connie Tucker <strong>Gunn</strong> of Gainesville; sons Kevin <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Coppell and Alan <strong>Gunn</strong> of Katy, Texas; daughter Karen Kuczynski of Pottsboro, Texas;<br />

brother Leon <strong>Gunn</strong> of Pittsburg, Texas; sisters Mary Stevens of Fort Worth and Clara Rich<br />

of Benbrook; and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or<br />

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.<br />

Roy <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Roy <strong>Gunn</strong> of Sherwood Park, formerly of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully<br />

at the age of 87. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Jean, his daughter Linda (Clifford)<br />

Johnstone, son-in-law Roy Eykelbosh, 4 grandsons; Andrew, Corey, Kelly and Scott,<br />

granddaughter Jessica, 3 great-granddaughters; Alex, Malysha and Royanne. Roy was<br />

predeceased by his daughter Janice Eykelbosh on July 4, 2008 and recently his sister<br />

Dorothy Patterson. A private family service will be held at a later date in Moose Jaw. In lieu<br />

Milledgeville, Ga., Funeral services for Roy <strong>Gunn</strong> 19, who died in an Augusta hospital<br />

Monday night from injuries received in an automobile accident Sept 1, will be held today at 2<br />

pm in the Devereux Baptisst Church with the Rev. Maxie Threatt and Jerry <strong>New</strong>ton<br />

officiating. Burial in the Raytown Methodist Church Cemetery near Sharon, Georgia.<br />

Survivors include his parents, Mr and Mrs. William S. <strong>Gunn</strong>, Sr., Devereaux; six brothers;<br />

Arthur <strong>Gunn</strong>, Conyers, Ga.; Robert Gun, Toccoa Ga; Ralph <strong>Gunn</strong>, Monticello Ga; William<br />

S. <strong>Gunn</strong>, Jr, Al <strong>Gunn</strong> and Danny <strong>Gunn</strong>, Devereux; four sisters; Mrs. E. B. Brewer<br />

Huntsville, Alabama; Mrs. Jimmy Fordham, Thomson, Ga; Nancy <strong>Gunn</strong> and Teresa <strong>Gunn</strong><br />
