Roxie K. Gunn
Mrs. Harley Gunn died in her Elkin home on Sunday, Dec 11, 1920 after an illness lasting
nearly five weeks. She was a victim of para typhoid fever. Her two children had been
suffering from the same disease and she had been nursing them through the siege, weakening
her own constitution such that she could not overcome the disease herself. Her funeral will
be conducted Wednesday at the East Union church. Before her marriage she was Roxie
Kelly the daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Kelly of Kempton. She was 25 years of age when
she died, having been born June 25, 1895. She married Harley Gunn on Feb 19, 1915 in
Kempton and two children were born to the union; Dwight Lamar age 5, and John William
age 2. She is survived by one brother and 5 sisters.

Funeral service for Roy Gunn of Gainesville will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 6 2001, at Arlington
Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Gunn, 60, died Tuesday in Dallas, Texas. Born May 27, 1941, in
Daingerfield, Texas, he graduated from Arlington State College, now the University of Texas
at Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard and Billy, and
sister Dell. Survivors include his wife, Connie Tucker Gunn of Gainesville; sons Kevin Gunn
of Coppell and Alan Gunn of Katy, Texas; daughter Karen Kuczynski of Pottsboro, Texas;
brother Leon Gunn of Pittsburg, Texas; sisters Mary Stevens of Fort Worth and Clara Rich
of Benbrook; and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Roy Gunn of Sherwood Park, formerly of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully
at the age of 87. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Jean, his daughter Linda (Clifford)
Johnstone, son-in-law Roy Eykelbosh, 4 grandsons; Andrew, Corey, Kelly and Scott,
granddaughter Jessica, 3 great-granddaughters; Alex, Malysha and Royanne. Roy was
predeceased by his daughter Janice Eykelbosh on July 4, 2008 and recently his sister
Dorothy Patterson. A private family service will be held at a later date in Moose Jaw. In lieu

Milledgeville, Ga., Funeral services for Roy Gunn 19, who died in an Augusta hospital
Monday night from injuries received in an automobile accident Sept 1, will be held today at 2
pm in the Devereux Baptisst Church with the Rev. Maxie Threatt and Jerry Newton
officiating. Burial in the Raytown Methodist Church Cemetery near Sharon, Georgia.
Survivors include his parents, Mr and Mrs. William S. Gunn, Sr., Devereaux; six brothers;
