Clara Anna Severtson Gunn
89. of Miami, died at 9:15 a.m. today June 3, 1967 in Highland General Hospital. She was
born March 5,1887, in McPherson, Kans., and married Dr. Milas Gunn in 1913. He died in
1932. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Miami, having moved
there in 1905 from Oklahoma. Survivors include three sisters. Miss Myrtle, Miss Jessie Bob
and Miss Tennie V. Severtson, all of San Antonio; a son - in - law, two grandsons and two
great-grandsons. Funeral services are pending with Carmichael - Whatley Funeral

Visitation, Saturday, March 7 from 11 a.m. until service at 12 Noon at Sandhill Baptist
Church, Lamar, MS with burial in the church cemetery. She leaves her husband, Mack
Gunn; daughter, Theresa Gunn; son, Troy Brown; mother, Frances Brown; sisters, Lula
Peterson, Georgia Brown, Lee Frances Brown, Kennie Brown, Diane Brown; brothers,

77, of 1108 Lindsey St. Reidsville, N.C. went to be with the Lord Thursday May 12, 2011 at
Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday May 14, 2011 at
First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. A native of
Caswell County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late George Lee and Martha Pauline
Moffitt Gunn and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was instrumental in helping
start the Reidsville Outreach Center, and was Volunteer of the Year for the AARP in 2009.
She served on the Board of Directors of the Reidsville Housing Authority, and help start a
backpack ministry. She went on many mission trips and was preceded in death by her
sister: June G. Courts and her nephew: Billy Courts. Surviving: brother, Norman Lee
"Buddy" Gunn of Etowah, NC; nieces and nephews, Norman Gregory Gunn, Tina Gunn
Weede, Renita Courts, Sally Courts, Summer Lynn Courts, Dale Courts Moore, Jonathan,
Moore, and Samuel Moore; special cousin, Vivian Felker. The family will see friends 1 p.m.
till 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday May 14, 2011 at First United Methodist

with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Gunn, 86, of Meridian,
Ms., died Tuesday, Mar. 8, 2011, at Regency Hospital. She loved to sing, go shopping,
fishing and traveling.She is survived by her sons: Nelson Gunn, R.C. Gunn Jr., and Robert
Patrick Gunn, all of Meridian; grandchildren: Richard Humphrey, Barry Humphrey,
Patrick Gunn Jr., Crystal Gunn Myers and Casey Neese; great-grandchildren: Sarah
Elizebeth Louise Neese, Conner Myers, Carson Myers, Brent Ange and Keith Clark,
