Carol Ann Posey and husband Steven A. Posey. He was the son of the late Clifford Burrell
Gunn and Marguerite Melba Tell Gunn, brother of Melba Laura Gunn Britt; brother-in-law
of Dorothy Maxine Prezbindowski; grandfather of Stephanie Claire Oppland (Robert Zelle),
Lauren Ashley Zes (Daniel Zes), Caitlin Suzanne Oppland, Charles William Oppland and
Danielle Renee Posey; and great grandfather of Robert Carter Zelle and Julia Britt Zelle. He
was also survived by other relatives, family members and numerous friends. Age 88 years, a
native of St. Louis, Mo. and a resident of Slidell, since 1980; Buzz served his country in the US
Navy during WWII and was a retired cartographer for the U.S. Government. He was a
member of the First Presbyterian Church of Slidell, the Northshore R/C Club, and the Krewe
of Dominique. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at
Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell,Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will begin today from 4-7p.m. and will continue Thursday morning from 9-11a.m.
Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss. at 1:30 p.m.

Lynchburg, Virginia, June 30, 1933 - Allen Hargrave Gunn, 41, son of Mrs. Ellwood Carter
Gunn of this city and the late Rev. E. Sterling Gunn, died Thursday at his home at Garrison,
New York. The body will be brought to St. Johns Episcopal Church in Halifax for burial. In
addition to his mother, Mr. Gunn is survived by a sister, Mrs. J. Newton Grodon of this city
and two brothers, Carter Gunn of Lynchburg, and the Rev. George Gunn, rector of the

Allen Keith Gunn,
75, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Services are 3 pm
today at Forest Baptist Church with burial in Cash Cemetery in Scott County.
Mr. Gunn, a humble, Christian, family man was born June 6, 1935 in Lena, MS to Ottie Lee
and Glover Gunn. He graduated with honors from Lena High School and was an All-State
basketball player. Mr. Gunn was a life long resident of Scott County and served his country
for 2 years in the U. S. Army. He was associated with the poultry industry in Scott County for
over 40 years and actively served on the Federal Land Bank for 30 years. Always a
conservationist at heart, Mr. Gunn was honored as Outstanding Scott County SWCD
Conservationist of the Year 2009.He was a member of Forest Baptist Church for over 40 years
where he had served on the Properties Committee and was an active member of the Joy
Makers Sunday School Class. He is survived by his high school sweetheart of 54 years, Ruth
Sessums Gunn; two daughters, Renea Hurdle and husband, Jimmy of Forest and Becky
Williams and husband, Dean of Madison; five grandsons, Jason Hurdle, Justin Hurdle, Jon
Marc Killebrew, Jacob Killebrew and Joseph Killebrew; one sister, Sara Ruth Hardin of
