today. He left home early Friday mornng, and failed to return for lunch. Searchers found<br />

him about 3 p. m. near a tank on his farm three-fourths mile south of the home. He was<br />

suffering from a two-inch gash in his throat. . Rushed to the sanitarium by his brother,<br />

Carl, Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> admitted to doctors he had swallowed two pinches of arsenic and had<br />

inflicted the wound himself.<br />

CISCO, June 21.—(SPL)—Funeral services and burial were held for Doyle <strong>Gunn</strong>, 40, who<br />

died from wounds accidentally received, by falling on a barbed wire fence, Sunday<br />

afternoon. Burial was in Dennis cemetery near Moran. <strong>Gunn</strong> died In a Cisco hospital<br />

Friday night. His widow is a former Cisco girl, who is remembered here as Montie Graves.<br />

Duane H. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

57, Moyses Road, Winter Park, Florida died Wednesday, June 12. 1996. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a<br />

professional fund-raiser. Born in Lansing, Mich., he moved to Central Florida in 1990. He<br />

was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, Winter Park. Survivors: wife, Barbara A.;<br />

son, Duane Jr., Winter Park; daughters, Lisa, Indianapolis, Debra, Orlando; brother,<br />

Gerald, Lansing, Mich.; sister, Betty West, Belleview, Mich.; five grandchildren. Banfield<br />

Funeral Services, Winter Springs.<br />

Duward B “Dude” <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

90, of Cross Plains, retired from the Phillips Petroleum Plant in Goldsmith, died Friday,<br />

March 12, 2010, at Abilene Regional Hospital. Services were held Monday at<br />

Higginbotham Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Cross Cut Cemetery. Arrangements were by<br />

Higginbotham Funeral Home of Cross Plains. He was born in Cross Cut and was a<br />

sergeant in the Army during World War II (1942-46). He participated in the D-Day Forces,<br />

Battle of the Bulge and Occupation Forces in Germany. SURVIVORS Brother, Paul <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

E. F. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Jefferson City, Mo., Jan 8, 1889 - Rev E. F. <strong>Gunn</strong>, ex-County Judge of Morgan County,<br />

died yesterday at his home, seven miles east of Versailles of congestion of the lungs. Mr.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> was a Baptist minister and one of the leading Democrats of Morgan County having<br />

been twice elected County Judge on the Democratic ticket. He was greatly beloved and<br />

admired by the people of his county and his loss will be keenly felt. St. Louis Republic, St.<br />

E. L. “Buster” <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

84, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.<br />

Wednesday in “The Garden of Serenity” at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Leonard<br />

Forsythe, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Military Honors will be by the U.S.<br />

Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of<br />

Borger. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born Oct. 25, 1924 at Lamesa, to Esla and Lillie <strong>Gunn</strong>. He came to<br />

Borger in 1942. In 1943 he entered into the US Army, serving in World War II. He was a<br />

retired partner of <strong>Gunn</strong>-Campbell Well Service In 1964 he married Melba Jean Torbett at
