The funeral services of Mrs. Thomas Holt, second daughter ol Rev. D. Griffin <strong>Gunn</strong>, -were<br />

held In St. John's church yesterday afternoon, the Rev. Wallace Carnahan officiating. It<br />

was intended to have the services -Monday afternoon, but relatives at a distance<br />

telegraphed they would be here, so the body was ordered embalmed and hold in state,<br />

pending their arrival. .Mrs. Holt leaves a fond husband, and a little baby boy to mourn her<br />

loss; as well as a father and-seven brothers and sisters. The farthest away-was her sister,<br />

Mrs. Wm. Adelbert Smith, whose husband is cashier of the Cottonwood Co. bank in<br />

Windorn, Minneota. Her brothers. Griffin and Daniel <strong>Gunn</strong>, live at Fort Worth. The rest<br />

of the immediate family are in San Antonio.<br />

Katie <strong>Gunn</strong> Strader<br />

Mrs. Katie Barber Strader, 88, of Route 4, Reidsville died in Annie Penn Memorial<br />

Hospital at 11:45 Tuesday night following a long illness. She was the former Katie <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

daughte of the late W. P. and Matilda Wray <strong>Gunn</strong>. A native of Rockingham County, she<br />

spent most of her life in the Wentworth Community. She was twice married. Her first<br />

husband, John Barber died in 1896; her second husband, Tommy G. Strader, died about<br />

15 years ago. She had made her home with her son, Luther Barber, for several years. She is<br />

a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. Surviving is one son, Luther Barber of route<br />

4; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Smith of Columbia, S.C., Mrs. R. S. Stiers of Route 4, Reidsville;<br />

three brothers, C. A. <strong>Gunn</strong> and Bethel <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Route 4, H. R. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Manville [sic],<br />

Va.; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a number of step-children. Funeral<br />

services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from Shady Grove Baptist Church<br />

conducted by the pastor, the Rev. A. G. Hunter. Interment will be in the church cemetery.<br />

The boy will remain at Wilkerson Funeral Home until 1:30 friday at which time it will be<br />

carried to the church. [March 15, 1960]<br />

Katie Bell <strong>Gunn</strong> Lewis<br />

died October 9, 1967, age 88 years. She is the widow of the late Ralph L. Lewis, of Alberta.<br />

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. J. A. Brooks of Highland Springs, Va., Mrs. L. M.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong>, Sr., of Richmond, Mrs. Roy M. Steele, of Balboa, Canal Zone, Mrs. E. F. Miller, of<br />

Mechanicsville, Mrs. G. W. Leiss, of Silver Springs, Md., and Mrs. Louise VanHouten, of<br />

Arlington, Va.; four sons, Mr. Ralph L. Lewis, of Alberta, Mr. E. W. Lewis, of Richmond,<br />

Mr. W. E. Lewis, of LaCrosse, and W. P. Lewis, of LaCrosse; 21 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren.<br />

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Williams Funeral<br />

Home, Lawrenceville. Interment Alberta Cemetery.Richmond Times Dispatch (VA) Tues.<br />

Kathy Lynn <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Kathy Lynn <strong>Gunn</strong>, 52, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died on Thursday, November 4, 2004, at<br />

the University Hospital. Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> was born on November 24, 1952, she was a registered<br />

nurse and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: her husband: Logan <strong>Gunn</strong> of Paragould,<br />

two sons: Aaron Farmer and his wife Jannee" Linkous of North Little Rock, Arkansas,<br />

Jonathan Price and his wife Brook Price of Paragould, her mother: Lorene Lamb of<br />

Sherwood, Arkansas, one brother: Jim Lamb of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister, Kaye<br />

Williams of Centerton, Arkansas, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by:<br />

her father: Onis Marshall Lamb. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Mitchell
